Dr. Geneviève Boisselle
Dr. Geneviève Boisselle Description
Born and raised in Montreal, Dr. Boisselle has been fascinated from an early age by nature and all types of animals, from the largest mammals to the smallest insects. At five years old, she welcomes her first kittens into her home. It was not long that she used Minouche and Minette to develop her examination techniques.
She studied veterinary medicine at Université de Montréal in Saint-Hyacinthe and graduated in 2007. In the course of her studies, she developed a passion for animal biodiversity, ecosystem health and animal well-being, for domestic animals as well as for wildlife animals and breeding animals. She travelled to Madagascar, Costa Rica and in the North of Canada to study the impacts of human activities on wildlife species and participate in campaigns to neuter the local populations of strays cats and dogs.
She joined the team of AnimaPlus of Île-Perrot in the summer of 2011. Since then, she divides her time between Les Coteaux, Laurier, and Gatineau AnimaPlus hospitals. In recent years, she has also developed a strong interest in internal medicine, more specifically for the treatment of diabetes and feline renal diseases.
